Woodie Works

My great grandfather had a wagon shop just down the road in Shaftsbury, Vermont. I still have very strong memories as a young boy in that shop, the tools, the bench, I connected to them.

Working with my grandfather, we disassembled and repaired everything. You didn’t buy something if you didn’t have to. You either fixed it or made it.

Woodies are a symbol of that bygone era-closing the coach building loop.  They are one of the more challenging projects-lots of curves and complex geometry.   They are compelling emotionally, esthetically, technically.
